Creamy Baked meatball stroganoff

I am yet to meet a kid who doesn’t love meatballs with pasta! I used Sirimon Cheese Feta and Mozzarella, to make this baked version which was so rich and creamy!  Your kids (and kids at heart) will love the cheesy delight this holiday season. Creamy Baked meatball stroganoff

Ingredients
  • • 1/3 cup chopped green onions
  • • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • • 3 tablespoons Sirimon Feta cheese, grated
  • • ½ kg ground beef
  • • 4 cups cooked pasta
  • • 1 cup sour cream, softened
  • • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • • 2 cups Sirimon Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • • 3 cups pasta sauce
  • • 2 garlic cloves, minced
Directions
  • Step 1 In a large bowl, combine the onions, bread crumbs and feta cheese. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1 inch. balls
  • Step 2 then, place on a greased rack in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 200° until no longer pink for 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 3 In a cast iron skillet, add the pasta sauce, sour cream, mayonnaise and mixed herbs. Bring slowly to a simmer. Add the cooked meatballs and the cooked pasta and mix in well. Season with black pepper and salt as desired. Sprinkle the mozzarella on top.
  • Step 4 Bake, uncovered, at 350° until heated through for about 30 minutes. Garnish with some chopped cilantro or basil.
