he end of mango season is upon us. And what better way to end it than with a Mango Avocado salad. This refreshing salad pairs perfectly with a sweet ginger dressing. The colors and the flavor- it was all sorts of goodness.

So this was dinner for hubs and I, as the kids enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs. We crumbled a little bit of the meatballs onto the salad- it was delish!

So lately I have been really grateful that I am not alone in the house eating the healthy stuff. Back then, it was lonely! Everyone else had the carbs, the takeout, the baked goodies and I was there with my green smoothies and salads. I almost gave up many times!

It was not until I decided to love the food that I am eating, did hubby then start showing interest. And when I started trying out recipes and innovating he was bought! So were the kids, kinda! So to have him excited that I made a salad for dinner- man! That’s awesome.

My kids, its work in progress. Sometimes they love, sometimes they don’t. I cant seem to figure out why they stick to their comfort zone and a whole lot less adventorous with food as they would be with other things in the house. I guess they are just kids!

So for now we hope that that through demonstration, they shall also pick up good eating habits. I am so glad healthy food does not have to be boring. Like this salad! Full of goodness: vitamins, antioxidants, phytonutrients and good fat.  It is a must try!
