I don’t know if you guys know the excitement that comes with discovering a new and very simple recipe that works every single time. That for me, is like gold! I stumbled upon this recipe created by a fellow culinary nutrition expert clean food clean plate, and after trying and personalizing it a couple of time, I loved it so much I wanted to share the bread with the world 🙂

The response on the call for people to buy the bread was amazing. We were churning loaves like a bread factory! The satisfaction was reading the feedback and getting the loads of thank you! I realized though because of the high quality of ingredients, making the bread and keeping it at a profit making price was going to be an uphill task! So with the overwhelming approval from my dear followers on IG- I decided to post the recipe here for you guys to try and enjoy it with the people you love!


High in fiber and low in sugar- this bread is absolutely perfect for someone looking to keep things healthy! It is so filling because it uses 100% whole oats, which are ground in a food processor. Oats are an excellent source of soluble fiber that can help keep us fuller for longer. Studies have shown that soluble fiber can slow the rate of digestion and reduce the rise in blood sugar after eating. Adding soluble fiber to breads may help a person manage blood sugar.

However, fiber-enriched whole-grain breads are still relatively high in carbohydrates, so it is important to eat them in moderation especially if your goal is weightloss. But I cannot guarantee you will not love it and make it often! It has the nutty version (walnut) and the chocolatey version (choc chip). It is so easy and quick to make as you mix it in the blender or food processor! Hey talk about minimal dishes during cleanup! I honesyly can’t decide which I love more- but you know me! I am a chocolatey girl!

[lt_recipe name=”Moist Oat Banana Bread” prep_time=”15 MINUTES” cook_time=”25-30 MINUTES” total_time=”40-50 MINUTES ” difficulty=”Moderate to Easy ” print=”yes” ingredients=”2 cups whole rolled oats (i used quick oats);1 tsp baking powder;1 tsp baking soda;1 tsp cinammon powder;3 bananas;1/4 cup apple sauce;2 medjool dates (deseeded);2 eggs;1 tsp vanilla extract ;Toppings: 1-2 tbsp chopped walnuts or dark chocolate chips ;” ]Preheat oven to 180C;Put the rolled oats in a high speed blender or food processor and process till fine but still maintaining a bit of a coarse texture. ;Add in the baking powder, baking soda and cinammon and mix well (you can pulse a few times for this). ;Put in the rest of the ingredients, and blend/process till smooth. ;Pour into your prepared muffin tin. Sprinkle your walnuts or dark choc chips on top. ;Bake for 25-30 mins, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Once it has cooled for 15 minutes, remove from loaf tin and let cool on a rack. ;Enjoy with some nut butter or just as is! [/lt_recipe]

      Hi Lilian. Yes you can use chia eggs. one part chia seeds powder to three parts water. mix and let rest in the fridge for 15 mins. I havent tried with chia eggs but try and let me know!
